Funding March we met upward with another family to hold out at Disney World for any weekend. We decided to stay within the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Hotel in Orlando and wished to share our thoughts since sanctioned property that many traveling families are going to consider when heading to help you Disney. In Part 1 of the review I covered interior, an overview of the property, their transportation options to Disney, and the on-site restaurants options. In this post I may look at some of the many amenities, the Regency Tavern, the process of becoming Disney tickets through these individuals, and how you is capable of it too.
This hotel has extremely solid water offerings meant for families! There is a 1/2 acre free coursing lagoon pool, twelve waterfalls, several whirlpools, a water slide, splash zone, and even more. It is fresh off a pretty substantial renovation and that looks great! It was slightly cold while we have there been in early March, but it was warm enough for us to play in one of the many heated pools for slightly. If we were there inside the summer we could easily spend a bunch of time taking advantage with the pools and water functions.
In addition to the pools you will find a sandy beach area with the kids to play in to boot. This backs up to somewhat of a small lake that is not for swimming.
Accompanying the lots of pools and water activities, the resort has a lot of activities on dry stretch of land. Some of those comprise of bike rentals, a stone wall, and a greens.
The hotel contains a Regency Club with both indoor and outdoor with capacity of areas. You can book a Regency Club room for additional dollars and points, or get access insurance agencies Diamond status with Hyatt. Many Regency Clubs the united states aren't overly amazing, but this one was actually among the list of better ones.
As shown with the photo below, the Regency Clubhouse is open from 6: 30AM – 9: 00AM designed for breakfast. It is closed with 3PM – 5PM inside the afternoon. From 5PM – 9PM there are evening snacks served.
The evening spread was attractive decent with one awesome dish, many appetizers, sushi, wraps, bruschetta, plus more.
Thanks to an exceptionally lucrative MyPoints. com in addition to OpenSky promo in 2012, I had some Hyatt gift certificates to make use of. While much of this hotel stay had been paid for via some certificate I won with a charity auction, I thought i would charge Disney tickets to the room and pay for them via those Hyatt records. I wasn't 100% sure it might work, but it would. There was a small fee of doing this – I think about $3 per ticket, but it was well worth it in our case as the majority of our Disney ticket charge was covered via the Hyatt certificates I'd on hand.
Normally I enjoy buy my tickets through a discount link to UnderCoverTourist within the MouseSavers newsletter, but they don't definitely discount tickets of fewer than three days anyway. In my case it was a no-brainer to operate the certificates to significantly reduce the money necessary the weekend. It also allowed us to get straight to the gate at Disney in lieu of having to get seat tickets (though that wouldn't have added a lot of time).
This is a Category 5 property that's fresh off a restoration. It seems to become common for rates being between $200 – $300 each and every night, so it isn't "cheap", but if you plan to take advantage of the many resort features that isn't horrible. Of course it is a much better value if you can use points and not need the out of bank account cost. It would have to have 18, 000 Gold Passport tips or Ultimate Reward points transferred in 1: 1 via cards like the Chase Sapphire Wanted or Ink Plus Organization Card. This is a hotel that would be worth using your two free nights that come with the Hyatt Credit Credit card (make a reservation at Hyatt. com and you may get an offer for a good $100 statement credit upon the two free nights) if visiting a Category 6 isn't in the plans. Using points would save you from the $25 on a daily basis resort fee. If the rates are closer to $300 I would strongly consider using points, otherwise may well come down to examining my budget and points balance and creating a call.
If all that's necessary is a hotel in close proximity to Disney with a clean bed to sleep in at night, this is usually not the place for everyone. If you want some sort of Hyatt resort property which you could take advantage of choosing points or your top notch benefits, this may are the place for you. We very much enjoyed the Regency Club and they do have some excellent outdoor amenities. It could be very much not a Disney property. It is more on the large resort that wants that you spend several days of one's vacation on-site enjoying their own amenities and activities. When we were there we saw other families, but far far more convention goers than households. If you don't value the activities they have on the home or property, or you want being closer to Disney, you will find yourself better served elsewhere. We enjoyed our stay typically, and I do for example the property, but we probably will do our next Disney-centered holiday retreat back on Disney premises while Little C holds little.
